Kalmari biogas plant has been in continuously running since 1998. Plant has been updated during the years and capacity increased. Feedstock is cow slurry, and sidestream from food industry (also ABP regulated wastes). Biogas is utilised as traffic biomethane, electricity and heat.

Since 2015 main energy has come from dry fermentation plant which uses grass, silage, straw, horse manure and wood chips as biogas raw-material. This new patented method is succesful and has plenty of potential applications worldwide.
